HMI is software that informs the operator about a process and implements the operator’s control instructions. For this reason, the operator can also be called the panel. Information on the HMI is presented to the operator as graphical or simple number data. In general, an HMI is part of a central control and data collection system called SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) that is created in the system.
We mainly use Siemens and Omron brand HMI in our projects. We use SIMATIC WinCC Comfort/Advanced, Simatic HMI Mobile Panel, Simatic HMI Comfort Panel, Simatic HMI Basic panels based on panels and PCs from the Siemens product family. From the Omron product family, we offer solutions with NYP, NA, NS and NB series panels. When selecting HMI, criteria such as the number of tags to be used, communication speed, data size, visuals, graphics usage, color quality are taken into consideration.

Nowadays, it is mainly used in RTU and PLC integrations. With Industry 4.0, awareness has increased that the existing capabilities of SCADA systems are actually stronger. So that many factories now require MRPII(Manufacturing Resource Planning) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) integrations in SCADA systems.
Our company has developed many applications on SQL, Oracle database using OPC-UA structure, especially with Siemens WinCC. SCADA systems have been established with OMRON Movicon and customer specific .NET applications.

Issues such as reducing the consumption of printed materials, saving time, meeting data security at a high level, reducing the number of personnel by reducing the workforce can be considered as advantages for web based applications.
Our company has developed applications through Microsoft Azure, which we partner with many brands in the industry. We choose web based devices based on cost, depending on the level of the application, according to where they will be used with the customer. The number of devices to be used in the system, IP protection class, operations to be performed on the Cloud, the amount of data to be backed up, and the qualities required in the application are some of the factors that affect the cost.
